It is much cheaper for shipping purposes. Just push the tree into place. The metal is flexible, so don't be afraid to step on the stand and "straightened" the tree out if it needs to. They are hand cut metal, painted in a distressed shabby, peely paint finish. Chippy paint is normal may flake off. Perfect for any farmhouse decor or holiday decor. The possibilities are endless.
